Book traces Bitanga's life and work

Pioneer artist-abstractionist Rosario Bitanga launched her coffee-table book "Living for Art" at Museum Space, Ayala Museum. The book is authored by award-wining art critic Cid Reyes, with book designer Reiner Suva.

 

"Living for Art" is a biographical-chronological overview of Bitanga's life and work, tracing the trajectory of her major themes. The event coincides with an exhibition of he artist's recent paintings and sculptures.

 

Bitanga is the dean of the Institute of Fine Arts and Design, an affiliate of the Philippine Women's Universityy. She is a consultant on sculpture and member of the advisory committee of UST College of Fine Arts and Design.
